This fully-developed study guide, written and adapted by someone who has taught the material himself, can be used by individuals or groups to accompany the reading of the book. The guide is structured in five sections, which deal with two of the book’s chapters each. Each week of the guide offers three sections.
- Getting Ready – This section provides a summary of the big ideas from the book as well as questions for personal reflection.
- Group Discussion – This section provides five or six discussion questions. Each starts with a quotation and short summary of part of the book, to help people remember what they read or assist people in participation if they didn’t have a chance to read all the material in advance.
- Paths Forward – This section provides supplementary material for going further or deeper. There are one or two spiritual practices people can try, as well as an optional simple Bible study.
